Our very first meeting! Our very first meeting was held at The Claw of Enumclaw. We heard from 3 non-profits: Bicycle Rescue For Youth, Enumclaw Senior Center and Maple Valley Food Bank and Emergency Services.
Bicycle Rescue for Youth was the recipient of our collective donation, totaling $3700.
We delivered our oversized check to the headquarters of Bicycle Rescue For Youth.
October 2019. Our meeting was held at The Black Diamond Community Center. We heard from 3 non-profits: Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, Neighbors Feeding Neighbors-Senior Hot Meal Delivery and Nexus Youth and Families.
Nexus Youth and Families was the recipient of our collective donation totaling $5,700. Additional donations were made to NFN-Senior Hot Meal Delivery $250 and Evergreen Bike Rescue $150.
January 2020. Our January meeting was held a the Cedar Lodge of Maple Valley. We heard from 3 non-profits: Footprints of Fight, See Ya Later Foundation and Vine Maple Place.
Footprints of Fight was the recipient of our collective donation $7,100 with additional donations made to See Ya Later Foundation $350 and Vine Maple Place $400.
Our April 2020 meeting was cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions. We asked our membership to make a donation to a non-profit of their choice in lieu of our regular structure, and boy did they!
So many non-profits were recipients of donations: Maple Valley Food Bank and Emergency Services, Backpack Buddies of Maple Valley, Enumclaw Senior Center, Neighbors Feeding Neighbors-Hot Meal Delivery, Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation-Backpack Program, The Storehouse, Vine Maple Place, Adopt a Healthcare Worker, Shadow Lake Elementary School, Sunny Sky's Animal Rescue, Auburn Food Bank, Plateau Outreach Ministries, Footprints of Fight, See Ya Later Foundation, Maple Valley Warm Hearts and Hearths. The total amount donated was $5,485 with many of those donations matched by different organizations. It was not how we planned for our April meeting, but I'm so impressed with the amount raised and donated by our generous members!
July 2020. Our July meeting was held via Zoom. This was our first attempt and we managed without too much trouble! We heard from 3 non-profits: The Backpack Program ( part of RFWF), The IDEA Project, Puget Sound Goat Rescue (with a cameo appearance from a few cute goats!).
The IDEA Project was the recipient of our collective donation totaling $5,800 with additional donations to The Backpack Program $700 and Puget Sound Goat Rescue $350.
October 2021. Our October meeting was held via zoom (which is still not as fun as in person). We heard from 3 non-profits: Behind the Badge Foundation, Elk Run Farms and Felomena's Grace.
Elk Run Farms was the recipient of our collective donation totaling $6,100 with additional donations made to Feloma's Grace $600 and Behind the Badge Foundation $500.
